Bleached Knots
When hair
is tied to the lace, there is a dark knot where the hair is secured.
Bleached knots is a technique where they bleach out the knot
that is made when each strand of hair is hand-tied into the lace at
the base of the cap. When you bleach the knot out, it makes it
a little lighter so that it does not stand out as much. It gives
it a more natural appearance as though the hairs are growing out of
the scalp.
Bleached knots is only recommended
when you choose a dark hair color such as black, off black or dark brown.
When the knots are bleached on these hair colors,
they are lightened to a light brown shade. When bleaching knots it
is only recommended that you bleach the first 2 inches of the front
hairline or the first 2 inches of the entire wig perimeter. Some
people opt to bleach the knots of the entire wig, however, we do not
recommend this as too much bleaching can compromise the hair quality.
We only use 100% human Indian hair in our wigs. Just as your own natural
hair can become damaged if you over-process it with chemicals, the same
holds true for human hair used in wigs.
